Utilitymen (Field Services and Delivery)

Utilitymen (Field Services and Delivery) perform a variety of tasks in the field and are considered to be a general tradesperson.

Personal requirements of Utilityman (Field Services and Delivery) may include:

  • Must be abke to travel

Utilitymen (Field Services and Delivery) may complete the following tasks:

  • Perform maintenance on conveyer belts, feeders, screens, fans, dust collectors, and other plant equipment
  • Clean bins, conveyers, spills, material from under conveyers and catwalks, and other cleaning duties as assigned
  • Continuously observe, monitor, and report any condition that could lead to equipment failure or a safety hazard
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment including vacuum truck, haul truck, bobcat, loader, man lift, forklift, shuttle wagon, and tractor in a safe manner
  • Assist maintenance in preventative care and minor repairs of equipment used
  • Learn various entry level positions and cross train in other areas of the plant as needed
  • Responsible for completing equipment and work area inspections
  • Perform all assigned work adhering to company and governmental safety rules and regulation and follow company lock out tag out procedures
  • Report any potential operational or safety problems to management

A trade qualification or a relevant number of years on the job experience is required for this career.
