Green Plumbers advise and inform consumers on topics such as: the benefits of energy efficiency; water conservation or the most appropriate and cost effective appliances to suit individual needs, as well as install and repair rainwater tanks and other water saving or storage devices in addition to regular plumbing tasks.

Green Plumbers may complete the following tasks:
- Keep up to date with latest technology and energy saving appliances
- Apply practical appliances & installation knowledge in the workplace and provide this to to consumers
- Provide consumers with energy/water/cost savings (short term and long term cost comparisons and environmental benefits)
This occupation requires a Plumbing qualification/licence in order to fulfil the role. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
