Antennae Installers select, assemble, connect and set up TV and radio reception antennae and multiple antenna outlets in buildings and premises.

Personal requirements of an Antennae Installer may include:

  • Excellent computer skills
  • Problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills

Antennae Installers may complete the following tasks:

  • Dismantle, assemble and fabricate electrotechnology components
  • Solve problems in extra-low voltage single path circuits
  • Solve problems in multiple path d.c. circuits
  • Fix and secure equipment
  • Use drawings, diagrams, schedules and manuals
  • Lay wiring and terminate accessories for extra-low voltage circuits
  • Assemble and erect reception antennae and signal distribution equipment
  • Maintain documentation
  • Source and purchase material/parts for installation or service jobs
  • Receive and store materials and equipment for electrotechnology work
  • Deliver a service to customers
  • Perform routine manual arc welding

This career requires an apprenticeship or certificate in Antennae Equipment.
