Home Theatre Assistants may complete the following tasks:

  • Dismantle, assemble and fabricate electrotechnology components
  • Solve problems in extra-low voltage single path circuits
  • Fix and secure equipment
  • Use drawings, diagrams, schedules and manuals
  • Lay wiring and terminate accessories for extra-low voltage circuits
  • Assemble and set up fixed audio/video components and systems in buildings and premises
  • Source and purchase material/parts for installation or service jobs
  • Receive and store materials and equipment for electrotechnology work
  • Deliver a service to customers
  • Provide basic instruction in the use of electrotechnology apparatus
  • Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices
  • Select electronic components

This career requires an apprenticeship or certificate in Custom Electronics Set-up.
